  14. I was on vacation when I found some statistics that would allow me to
  15. make a population pyramid for Russia that I could put on my website.
  16.  
  17. I thought I would do it in postscript; then I remembered reading in the
  18. Icon graphics book that I bought that Icon can output .gif files.

  20. Fine, sez I, I'll just do it. And I did. I had to figure out how to do
  21. the stuff I needed and play with it and other things, but I got it to
  22. work.

  24. Just save the file and it is a .gif, and I can use the full X font
  25. specification to get any font I need!

  27. Wonderful. I am now a happy camper. I should even be able to
  28. superimpose one pyramid on another. I love it!
